Flip-Flops is a self catering holiday let located on the Main Highway, just outside the village of Laborie on the Caribbean island of St Lucia. The apartment is only a short 15 minute drive from the international airport, Hewannorra.
The apartment offers accommodation just across the road from the Caribbean, and is well located to explore the south of St Lucia. There are small shops in the village, where there are a variety of places to eat.
Many of our guests walk along the road to the village, to Rudi John or Laborie Beach. Further afield are the beaches attached to the resorts or places such as Piaye. There are no private beaches on the island, but some are easier to access than others because we are on the slopes of extinct volcanoes.
You will pass supermarkets on the way from the airport, in Vieux Fort, and La Tourney (Massy is the chain across the island, but there are smaller facilities). Further along the Main Highway, there is another Massy Supermarket as well as other smaller facilities.
Travel to the north of the island can be done by road, small boat or helicopter.
A short 15 minute drive from the international airport, Hewannorra, the Main Highway, the village offers a real taste of St Lucia and is also on the way to attractions such as The Pitons, the drive through volcano, the sulfur springs and waterfalls.
There are dive centres along the coast, quad bike tours not far away and other adventures such as horse riding , which are all accessible.
A local tour operator can pick you up outside the property so if you would like a break from driving while you see more of the attractions of St Lucia, that can be arranged
An experienced massage therapist visits the property regularly and appointments can be made in advance.
A great attraction is that we also have the services of a chef who will organise delicous meals so you can have dinner by the pool at sunset. Bookings can also be made to dine at the restaurant on the edge of the rain forest in nearby Balca. Again transport can be arranged if you would like a night out without driving!
