October is the month when people of the island of St. Lucia celebrate the heritage, culture and language of the island. In the last week it’s been great to see people dressed in traditional colours and styles, especially the children going off to school in their special clothes. There have been lots of displays around of historic implements, household items and tools. The village was buzzing with stalls selling traditional food over the weekend and on Sunday, we went to Country Side Eats for a traditional buffet. Delicious food as always, and a wonderful atmosphere.
